The audio signal to noise ratio is better than -81dBu, this is because  Image transmitter uses a lightly loaded high stability half frequency push-pull Hartley oscillator for generating the RF signal. The output of the Hartley oscillator is configured as a frequency doubler using a push-push arrangement, filtered and amplified by two high filtered amplifiers to 1 watt.
